So this just happened…

I have an extension cable that runs from the headphone jack on the back of my mac to just in front of my keyboard… When I got in this morning, I plugged some headphones into the cable and put on some music. The sound was really muddy and muffled so I turned it up. All the way.

This elicited a very concerned look from Matt (his desk is across from mine and one over) and he said something I could not hear with my headphones on. Then Adam (he sits two desks down in my row) waved at me with an urgent look on his face and as soon as I pulled off my headphones, I realized my error: Someone had unplugged the extension cable from the back of my mac and I was unknowingly blasting an obnoxious dance remix of Careless Whispers into the office.
